Written while my mom was "battling" cancer. I felt hopeless and ridiculous one day after complaining to her about trivial stuff in my life at the time. She's healthy and forgiving, thanks for asking!
This recording was longer, but my favorite thing about it is the two electric guitars, so I spared us from the first verse and included the second to give us the context.
The chorus lyrics come from band names, I think that all of the bands have since disbanded. I think that I used to play shows for a rather bummed bunch of folks because many of them seemed to take the chorus lyrics seriously and occasionally even cheered.
